Jack Grealish Sends Bold Message to Pep Guardiola Ahead of 2024/25 Season
Pep Guardiola embraces Jack Grealish of Manchester City after he is substituted off during the Emirates FA Cup Semi Final match between Manchester City and Chelsea at Wembley Stadium on April 20, 2024 in London, England.
Jack Grealish, the Manchester City star, has sent a decisive message to Pep Guardiola as the 2024/25 season approaches.
After playing a pivotal role in City’s treble-winning campaign, Grealish found himself struggling to replicate that form, resulting in just eight Premier League starts in the following nine months. The emergence of Jeremy Doku has significantly impacted Grealish’s playing time, a fact Guardiola acknowledged.
“He [Grealish] will be back,” Guardiola confidently stated in May. “He’s struggled this season. Jeremy has made an incredible step forward as everyone has seen in the last games. But Jack will be back at the level of last season – I’m pretty sure.”
Despite rumors linking Grealish to potential moves to Arsenal or even a sensational return to Aston Villa, the winger seems determined to reclaim his spot in City’s starting XI. His recent social media activity during his holiday underscores his commitment.
Grealish, left out of Gareth Southgate’s 26-man England squad for the European Championships, has been spending some of the off-season abroad. Despite this, he has already returned to City’s training base and continued to maintain his fitness, signaling his intent to return to top form.
While not yet back for official pre-season training, it’s evident that Grealish is focused on keeping in shape before heading back to Manchester. Later in July, City will embark on their USA pre-season tour with fixtures against Celtic and AC Milan, providing Grealish an opportunity to prove himself once again.
