“Man City Teammate Reveals the One Trait That Sets Erling Haaland Apart from Every Other Star!”

Erling Haaland left fans speechless with an incredible backheel volley in Manchester City’s Champions League clash against Sparta Prague, scoring the first of his two goals and bringing his competition total to a remarkable 44 goals in 42 games. City teammate Matheus Nunes calls Haaland a finishing “machine.”

Nunes, like everyone in the stadium, was stunned by Haaland’s strike, which showcased his extraordinary skill and agility. Reflecting on the goal, Nunes said, “I’d probably try to score like he did, but it wouldn’t turn out the same way,” laughing as he added, “It was unbelievable. I don’t know how he even got his foot to the ball like that – it was pure class. I don’t think anyone else could pull that off. He’s one of a kind, a true finisher.”

At only 24, Haaland is already redefining expectations, and Nunes says his relentless drive to improve stands out. Haaland’s ability to remain focused and patient, even when not heavily involved, makes him lethal in front of goal. “Working with him daily, I see the attention he gives to even the smallest details, his hunger to score, and his patience,” Nunes shared. “He’s incredible. Even if he touches the ball once or twice, he’s always ready to finish. He doesn’t just want to score; he hates losing. Even at halftime, when we were leading 1-0, he was upset we hadn’t scored more. That’s what sets him apart.”

Nunes, who scored City’s fifth goal in their 5-0 victory, is finding his rhythm too, settling into his role since his move from Wolves. Filling in during Rodri’s absence, he feels more comfortable this season, explaining, “I feel like I’ve finally settled in. I’m calmer, and I don’t put as much pressure on myself. It’s been evident since the season began.”

For Nunes, the key is consistency, saying, “I just have to keep working and give my best every chance I get.”
