Ravens Land Athletic Phenomenon Nick Emmanwori in Latest Mock Draft
South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori was once considered a borderline first-round prospect ahead of the NFL Combine—but that changed in spectacular fashion. Emmanwori delivered one of the most electrifying performances ever seen from a safety, running a 4.38-second 40-yard dash, posting a 43-inch vertical, and recording an 11-foot-6 broad jump. That jaw-dropping display has sent his draft stock soaring.
Previously, most mock drafts had Emmanwori pegged as a late first-round or early second-round pick. Now, in The Draft Network’s latest NFL mock draft, he remains within that range but lands in a prime spot.
According to the mock, the Baltimore Ravens select Emmanwori with the 27th overall pick. Analyst Justin Melo highlighted why the Ravens could make this move:

“The Ravens plan on parting ways with Marcus Williams this offseason,” Melo explained. “Nick Emmanwori is among the freakiest athletes we’ve seen in recent NFL Combines after he leaped a 43-inch vertical, 11-foot-6 broad, and ran a 4.38 40 at 220 pounds. Emmanwori would improve a Ravens secondary that needs to stop Patrick Mahomes and/or Josh Allen in the postseason.“
A standout at South Carolina, Emmanwori was a dominant presence in the SEC, starting all three seasons for the Gamecocks. Once a three-star recruit, he has now positioned himself as a serious contender to be the first safety off the board in the upcoming draft.
