The SEC announced its end-of-season awards on Tuesday, and South Carolina women’s basketball was well-represented with multiple players earning conference honors.

MiLaysia Fulwiley Named SEC Sixth Woman of the Year

Sophomore guard MiLaysia Fulwiley took home the SEC Sixth Woman of the Year award, a testament to her dynamic impact off the bench. Fulwiley has been a game-changer this season, averaging 11.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.7 blocks while becoming a disruptive defensive force.

Her performances have only gotten stronger down the stretch, and the Gamecocks will need her firepower as they chase another national championship.

Joyce Edwards, Te-Hina Paopao Earn All-SEC Honors

Joining Fulwiley on the SEC awards list, Joyce Edwards and Te-Hina Paopao both received All-SEC recognition.

  • Edwards, a true freshman, was named to the All-SEC First Team, becoming just the third freshman in program history to earn the honor, joining Aliyah Boston and A’ja Wilson. The Columbia-area native has been stellar all season, averaging 13 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game. Naturally, she also secured a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team.
  • Paopao, a senior guard, made the All-SEC Second Team. Known for her elite sharpshooting, Paopao has evolved into a more well-rounded player, improving her defensive presence and scoring consistency inside the arc. She’s averaging 10.2 points, 3.0 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game in her second season with USC.

More Defensive Standouts: Feagin and Johnson Make All-Defensive Team

In addition to her Sixth Woman of the Year award, Fulwiley was also named to the All-SEC Second Team. She has been electric in SEC play, scoring in double figures in 13 of 16 games since the start of 2025.

Meanwhile, senior forward Sania Feagin and redshirt junior guard Raven Johnson earned spots on the SEC All-Defensive Team.

  • Johnson has solidified herself as one of the top perimeter defenders in the country.
  • Feagin has stepped up in a big way since Ashlyn Watkins suffered an ACL tear in January, playing a key role in the Gamecocks’ interior defense.

Gamecocks Set for SEC Tournament as No. 1 Seed
