South Carolina WBB star will be under the lights of the 2025 WNBA Draft

The South Carolina Gamecocks will proudly have a presence at the upcoming WNBA Draft, as standout forward Sania Feagin has received an official invite to attend the event in New York City, held at The Shed. Widely regarded as one of this year’s top draft prospects, Feagin wraps up a decorated career with South Carolina.

Though her collegiate journey didn’t conclude with the storybook ending she had hoped for—missing out on a back-to-back national title that would’ve marked her third championship ringFeagin still leaves behind a remarkable legacy. She was part of a historic senior class that brought home two national titles and suffered just seven total losses during their time with the program.

“From Columbia, SC to @TheShedNY,” the WNBA announced on social media.
“Sania Feagin is officially invited to the 2025 #WNBADraft presented by @StateFarm.
Tune in April 14 at 7:30pm/ET on ESPN to see where her next chapter begins!”

Feagin’s time with the Gamecocks was instrumental to their dominance in recent years. While her overall college averages of 5.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks per game might not seem eye-popping, her progression over the final two seasons tells the real story.

During her junior year, Feagin played in 38 games, averaging 6.7 points and 3.8 rebounds, while shooting an efficient 55% from the field. She played a crucial role in the team’s undefeated season, even while sharing the frontcourt with standout center Kamilla Cardoso.

In her senior campaign, Feagin took another step forward. She averaged 8.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and an impressive 60.1% shooting percentage. With Cardoso moving in and out of the lineup, Feagin became a dependable presence in the paint, often paired with freshman Joyce Edwards, another rising force in South Carolina’s frontcourt.

According to ESPN projections, Sania Feagin is expected to be selected 10th overall by the Chicago Sky in the 2025 WNBA Draft. If that happens, she would be joining former LSU star Angel Reese, who completed her rookie season with the Sky last year.
