“Indiana Fever Make Bold Move and Deliver Powerful Message to Draft Pick on Monday Night”

The Indiana Fever went into the 2025 WNBA Draft with a clear vision: add a player who knows how to win. With the 20th overall pick, they selected Bree Hall, a standout guard from the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Hall wasn’t in attendance at the live draft in New York City. Instead, she experienced the life-changing moment surrounded by family at home, watching everything unfold on television. When her name was called, it wasn’t just a personal milestone — it was a strategic move by the Fever, who believe she’s an ideal fit for their squad.

The team expressed their excitement on X (formerly Twitter), posting:

With the 20th pick in the 2025 @WNBA Draft, we have selected South Carolina guard Bree Hall. Welcome to Indiana, Bree Hall!

According to the Indy Star, Hall brings more than just talent — she brings an elite résumé. She played in more games than any other four-year player in South Carolina history. During her college career, she helped lead the Gamecocks to two national championships, four Final Four appearances, and three SEC Tournament titles.

Known for her clutch gene, Hall earned the nickname “Big Shot Breezy” after sinking crucial three-pointers in big moments — including a major win over LSU in January 2024.

Earlier in the night, the Fever used their 19th pick to select Makayla Timpson, a forward from Florida State. They added further depth by picking Yvonne Ejim from Gonzaga with the 33rd pick.

Hall became the second South Carolina player drafted on Monday, following Te-Hina Paopao at No. 19, and just ahead of her teammate Sania Feagin, who was selected 21st.

With the 2025 season kicking off on May 17 against the Chicago Sky, the Indiana Fever continue to build a talented and dynamic roster. And with the addition of Bree Hall, they’re not just getting a player — they’re getting a proven winner who’s ready to make an impact.
