Kim Mulkey’s Epic Reaction After Stealing South Carolina’s Star Transfer!

For the second consecutive year, the LSU Tigers saw their season end in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

Kim Mulkey‘s team clashed with the top-seeded UCLA Bruins and couldn’t pull off the upset. Now, with eyes set on the future, Mulkey and the Tigers are determined to chase a second national title in four seasons.

Despite losing their leading scorer, Aneesah Morrow, to the WNBA — she was selected No. 7 overall by the Connecticut Sun — LSU scored a major win by retaining star guard Flau’jae Johnson, who averaged an impressive 18.6 points per game last season.

Adding even more firepower, LSU made a huge splash in the transfer portal on Friday by landing former South Carolina standout and five-star recruit, MiLaysia Fulwiley. Mulkey showed her excitement on social media, posting a GIF featuring herself and a past LSU squad — including Angel Reese — in a lively celebration.

Fulwiley is a dynamic and crafty guard, known for her ability to shift gears and take over games with her scoring prowess. She now has the potential to create one of the most dangerous guard trios in the country alongside Johnson and Mikaylah Williams.

A stacked roster at South Carolina and some occasional inconsistency may have limited Fulwiley’s role under Dawn Staley. During her two seasons with the Gamecocks, she posted averages of 11.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game while playing 18.7 minutes a night. Though she appeared in 77 games, she only started three times.

While her exact role with the Tigers remains to be seen, there’s no doubt that Fulwiley brings a serious spark and depth to Mulkey’s lineup.
