MiLaysia Fulwiley Makes Bold LSU Commitment—Sania Feagin and Fans React Instantly
MiLaysia Fulwiley has officially announced her next move—she’s heading to LSU after entering the NCAA transfer portal earlier this month. The former South Carolina star shared the news on Instagram, posing in LSU gear with the caption:
“Geaux Tigers 💜💛”

The post triggered quick reactions, including from her former teammate Sania Feagin, who dropped a simple “.” in the comments—a response that sent fans into a frenzy.
One fan replied directly to Feagin, saying: “we need u next.. .”
Another joked, “They already said she following her to LSU.”
For context, Feagin is no longer part of the Gamecocks roster either. She was selected No. 21 overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA Draft earlier this month.
While South Carolina is losing a major talent in Fulwiley, the Gamecocks have also made some strong additions during this transfer season.
Madina Okot, a transfer from Mississippi State, has committed to the program. Head coach Dawn Staley expressed her excitement, saying in a press release via Greenville Online that she’s thrilled to welcome Okot to the Gamecocks family and is confident the fans will love her energy and play.
Earlier in April, Ta’Niya Latson—a dynamic guard and the nation’s leading scorer last season—also committed to South Carolina. Interestingly, when Fulwiley first announced her decision to leave, Latson kept it cool with a one-character reply: “.” —matching Feagin’s understated but telling response.
In her heartfelt farewell post, Fulwiley thanked her home city and the program that helped launch her rise:
“I want to begin by thanking my hometown of Columbia, SC. Without my village, I wouldn’t be where I am today, chasing my dreams. Thank you to Coach Staley, the entire South Carolina staff, and my teammates for the unforgettable memories we’ve created together. Most importantly, thank you to the FAMS for embracing me and supporting me over the past two years. After thoughtful consideration, I’ve decided to enter the transfer portal. I’m excited for what’s next and grateful for all the continued love and support.”
As she embarks on a new chapter with Kim Mulkey’s LSU squad, all eyes will be on Fulwiley—and on any more surprises that may come from the portal.
