2025-26 SEC opponents announced for South Carolina women’s basketball

Dawn Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks now know their SEC matchups for the 2025–26 women’s basketball season.

The SEC released the conference pairings on Tuesday, revealing that South Carolina will host Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Texas at Colonial Life Arena. Among those, the marquee home games are expected to be against Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Texas, all of which could have major implications for SEC standings.

On the road, the Gamecocks will travel to Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma. That includes a high-profile return to Baton Rouge, where USC will face MiLaysia Fulwiley, the former Gamecock who transferred to LSU.

The only SEC team that South Carolina will face twice during the regular season is Alabama, playing them both home and away.

In addition to their SEC slate, the Gamecocks are gearing up for a challenging non-conference lineup. One of the most anticipated early matchups is a showdown with Texas during the Players Era Championship in Las Vegas, set for Thanksgiving Week. The tournament also includes clashes with national powers UCLA and Duke.

Looking back at last season, South Carolina hosted Texas A&M, Oklahoma, LSU, Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, and Kentucky, while they played road games at Missouri, Mississippi State, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Vanderbilt, and Ole Miss. USC also faced Texas both at home and away.

Two additional non-conference road games have been confirmed for 2025–26: a visit to Louisville on Dec. 4 as part of the ACC-SEC Challenge, and a return to Tampa on Dec. 18 to take on South Florida, the city where USC reached last season’s Final Four.

Back in March, South Carolina also announced a high-profile non-conference matchup against Southern California, which will take place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Nov. 15.

A finalized full-season schedule — with dates and tip times — is expected to be released in September.
