Chloe Kitts pens emotional message with wholesome snaps with BF Collin Murray-Boyles from the NBA draft

From the Couch to the Draft Stage: Chloe Kitts Shares Heartfelt Tribute to Collin Murray-Boyles After NBA Dream Comes True

Former South Carolina Gamecock Collin Murray-Boyles was selected 9th overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2025 NBA Draft, marking a major milestone in his basketball journey. By his side throughout the emotional evening was his longtime girlfriend and fellow Gamecock standout, Chloe Kitts.

Just a day after draft night, Kitts took to Instagram to post a series of touching photos of the couple, paired with a powerful message celebrating her boyfriend’s rise to the pros.

“It’s crazy to think that last year we were sitting on the couch watching the draft, and you looked at me and said, ‘That’ll be me next year.’ And now… it is you.”
“Watching you get drafted into the NBA was one of the most powerful, emotional moments I’ve ever experienced—not just because of what it means, but because I know the sacrifice, the long nights, the setbacks, and the quiet battles it took to get here.”
“You earned this with everything you are. I am endlessly proud of you. But more than that, you inspire me… I’ll be right here beside you through every chapter. God has a special plan for you, and I am excited to watch it fall into place. I love u c. Still can’t guard me though:).”

The two began dating in 2023 and have been in the spotlight ever since, often seen supporting one another on and off the court. They notably attended the Gamecocks’ championship gala together, following Kitts’ key role in South Carolina’s undefeated national title run.

A Draft Moment That Went Viral

When Murray-Boyles’ name was called on draft night, cameras captured what seemed like a stunned or even upset reaction. He shook his head, quietly mouthed an expletive, and buttoned his jacket before walking onstage to meet NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. Kitts also appeared briefly concerned, adding to the moment’s viral momentum online.

However, Murray-Boyles later clarified the emotion behind that moment:

“What I said was not a bad thing by any means. I’m just very thankful for it. That was a surreal moment to hear my name called by this organization that has a good history and really good players right now. It was a crazy moment.”

“Thankful for the opportunity that they’re giving me and taking it full on, ready to do whatever it takes and whatever they need me to do.”

What’s Next

While Murray-Boyles gears up for his NBA debut in Toronto, Chloe Kitts has her eyes set on another championship run with South Carolina. After a dominant season in 2024-25, she’ll be eligible for the WNBA Draft next year, aiming to add another ring to her résumé before making the leap to the pros herself.

Together, they’re not just a basketball power couple — they’re two rising stars chasing greatness, side by side.
