“Shocking Twist: UK Continues Probe Into Antony Assault Allegations After Brazil Drops Case!”

In 2023, Manchester United forward Antony was placed on a brief leave by the club after his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, accused him of assault in both Brazil and the UK—allegations Antony has strongly denied.

While the Brazilian police have since dropped the case due to a lack of evidence, UK authorities are still investigating. Greater Manchester Police confirmed to Mirror Football that their inquiry into the alleged incidents remains “ongoing.”

Cavallin, a DJ, claimed that Antony assaulted her on four separate occasions, including a disturbing incident in June 2022 when she was pregnant. She alleges that Antony physically attacked her, leading to serious injuries, including damage to a breast implant after an altercation at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Manchester on January 15, 2023.

In a harrowing interview with Brazilian TV channel Record, Cavallin detailed the alleged abuse, stating, “He threw water on me, started kicking me, grabbed my hair, butted my head, and made a cut… At that moment, I thought I was going to die.”

Cavallin further accused Antony of holding her captive in their home, saying, “I was a prisoner from 10 pm to almost 3:30 am. I call it private captivity. He broke my suitcase, took my handbag, my passport. He broke my mobile phone, he wouldn’t let me go.”

In contrast, Antony has consistently denied the accusations. In a March TV interview with Brazilian broadcaster SBT, he insisted on his innocence, stating, “I know the truth and it will come out. I’m 100 percent sure I’ve never touched a woman… I have never assaulted and I will never assault. I’m sure I’ve never committed physical violence.”

As the investigation in the UK continues, the contrasting accounts leave the situation unresolved, with both sides firmly standing by their stories.
