“Can Ilkay Gundogan Shock Everyone and Suit Up for Man City vs Ipswich? Latest Team News and Rodri’s Big Update Revealed!”

Manchester City are gearing up for their Premier League clash against Ipswich Town this weekend, and they’ve received some encouraging injury news.

Ilkay Gundogan, who recently rejoined City from Barcelona, has been cleared to make his second debut for the club and could feature in the match against Ipswich. Savinho is also in contention to play, although Rodri’s involvement remains uncertain.

Savinho made his full debut for City in the season opener against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge but was sidelined with a knee injury during the first half, leading to his substitution by Phil Foden at halftime. However, he’s now back in training and may start this weekend.

Phil Foden, John Stones, and Kyle Walker were all on the bench for the Chelsea match, having returned late to training after an extended break following Euro 2024. After two weeks of full training, all three players are in contention to start against Ipswich.

Regarding Savinho’s condition, Pep Guardiola said, “He feels better. I don’t think he’s at 100 percent yet, but he’s been part of the training. We’ll see today and tomorrow what we want to do with him.”

Rodri, who missed the Chelsea game due to a hamstring injury, is still a doubt for Saturday’s match. Guardiola commented, “He’s getting there, but he’s not with the group yet. Maybe partial training today.” When asked if Rodri would be fit to play against Ipswich, Guardiola added, “I don’t think so, but we will see today in training.”
