Interestingly, Guardiola also shared his thoughts on the Champions League landscape during the recent international break, naming one team he’d prefer to avoid: Barcelona. He admitted, “Probably Barcelona, because the affection I have for them really destroys me.”
As Nunes pointed out, City claimed their first Champions League title in 2023, but they faced a tough exit last season, losing in the quarter-finals to Real Madrid on penalties. This season, the Blues have already made their mark in the group stage, with a 0-0 draw against Inter Milan followed by a convincing 4-0 victory over Slovan Bratislava.
