“Manchester City Star Set for Comeback? Pep Guardiola Hints at Imminent Return!”

Kevin De Bruyne has missed the last nine games for Manchester City due to a groin injury, keeping fans and the club eagerly awaiting his return. While he resumed training a couple of weeks ago, he hasn’t yet been cleared for matches. Ahead of City’s upcoming match against Bournemouth, Pep Guardiola offered a positive update on De Bruyne’s recovery.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Guardiola shared an optimistic outlook: “He’s getting better, yeah. In the last two, three, four days, the doctor said he made a step forward in terms of [reducing] the pain.”

This news is a welcome boost for City, who are currently dealing with multiple injuries. Having De Bruyne back on the pitch would be a huge advantage, though it appears that a fully fit squad might still be a little way off.

As for De Bruyne himself, his long-awaited return now seems to be on the horizon. Concerns had grown over the groin injury he picked up against Inter Milan in September, with few updates along the way. Guardiola’s recent comments, however, signal good news for City, who have felt the absence of their playmaker.

While Saturday’s match against Bournemouth may come a bit too soon for De Bruyne’s return, it’s clear from Guardiola’s words that his comeback is close.
