Strike by Manchester City transfer target results in relocation of Etihad Stadium.

The Premier League champions of Manchester City may have acquired Jeremy Doku from Rennes, but the transfer window isn’t over for them yet.

As previously reported, the Cityzens are interested in signing Matheus Nunes, a midfielder for Wolves who Pep Guardiola praised during a match between City and Sporting CP in the UEFA Champions League.

A $60 million offer was made by Guardiola’s team for the Portuguese talent, but it was turned down by Wolves. Personal terms have been agreed upon by the player, and the midfielder has taken drastic measures into his own hands while Manchester City gets ready to make another offer.

The 25-year-old, according to the Athletic, has declared a strike at the Molineaux Stadium in an effort to compel a move to the Etihad Stadium. The player has declined to go to practice and has let the Midlands club know that he wants to leave.

The club, however, is unyielding in their demands and will only accept that their valuation be met. Regarding the player, Wolves are considering disciplinary actions, but should a move not materialize, the player will be reintegrated.

Following the departure of Ilkay Gundogan, the Cityzens are in dire need of a midfielder. While Mateo Kovacic has settled in well with the English champions, the serious hamstring injury to Kevin de Bruyne necessitates the addition of another player.

When an FA betting investigation into the Brazilian was opened, the treble winners were forced to give up their pursuit of West Ham star Lucas Paqueta.

We have three days until Deadline Day, so it will be interesting to see how his transfer saga plays out. The players, who started the season with three straight victories over Burnley, Newcastle, and Sheffield United, are still fully committed to the campaign.

Invading the field to celebrate with the Man City striker.

  • Against Sheffield United, Erling Haaland scored Man City’s first goal.

  • A former boxing world champion emerged from the crowd to join him in his joy.

After putting Manchester City in front against Sheffield United on Sunday, Erling Haaland was joined on the field by a former world champion boxer.

Haaland had a trying first half at Bramall Lane after he missed a penalty for the first time since joining City, but he didn’t mess up when he got another chance after the break, heading in Jack Grealish’s cross from close range.

An overly enthusiastic fan eventually joined him on the field as he initially didn’t seem to be in the mood to celebrate, clearly still upset about missing the earlier penalty.

Unbeknownst to Haaland, a fan unexpectedly leaped onto his back and planted a kiss on his cheek. It has since been identified as former world champion Terry Flanagan.

Before moving up in weight, Flanagan held the WBO lightweight championship between 2015 and 2017, making four successful defenses of the title.

The Manchester southpaw won his first 33 professional contests before suffering back-to-back losses to American duo Regis Prograis and Maurice Hooker in 2018.

To finish his career with a 36-2 record, he had three more fights, winning each one.

The 34-year-old now seems to enjoy watching his beloved City in his free time and couldn’t resist the urge to join Haaland in celebration this weekend.

Flanagan hugged Haaland while grinning from ear to ear. The Norwegian forward didn’t initially appear to know who had jumped on him, but after realizing it was a City supporter, he gave Flanagan a pat on the head.

After that, as Haaland’s teammates praised him, stewards hurried to remove Flanagan from the field.

As City finally took the lead after struggling for an hour without a breakthrough, Flanagan might have believed he was celebrating the winning goal.

However, the Blades did hit back through Jayden Bogle to set up a nervy finish.

Rodri scored a late winner for City, however, to keep their perfect record this season and return them to the top of the standings.
