BREAKING: South Carolina Locks In Elite 2025 Recruiting Class with Standout Talent!

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Gamecocks have made a major statement on National Signing Day, locking in a top-20 recruiting class filled with in-state stars and future playmakers. Head coach Shane Beamer continues to build a strong foundation, with the 2025 class now ranked No. 20 nationally and No. 12 in the SEC, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

South Carolina Lands Star WR Donovan Murph

One of the biggest names in the Gamecocks’ class is four-star wide receiver Donovan Murph. The Irmo High School product made his commitment official in a packed auditorium, pen in hand, signing with South Carolina just a month after announcing his decision during the Under Armour All-America Game.

Murph, who originally reclassified from 2026, chose the Gamecocks over offers from Clemson, Ole Miss, Colorado, and Tennessee. The 6’2″, 190-pound receiver was a dominant force in high school, tallying 96 receptions for 1,328 yards and 12 touchdowns in his junior year, leading Irmo to a 13-2 record and a spot in the 5A Division II state championship.

He’s a game-changer,” said one recruiting analyst. “South Carolina just landed a future star.

Murph joins an already impressive wide receiver room that includes Malik Clark, Jordon Gidron, Jayden Sellers, Brian Rowe, and Lex Cyrus.

Beamer’s Class Adds Depth and Talent Across the Board

Coach Shane Beamer had already secured 25 high school signees on December 4, the opening of the early signing period, and has since flipped three recruits while adding another late commitment.
