Brandon Arrington Keeps Oklahoma in the Running Among His Top 12 Schools
The Oklahoma Sooners are still very much in the hunt for one of the top recruits in the 2026 class, five-star athlete Brandon Arrington. The versatile standout from California recently revealed his top 12 schools, and the Sooners are firmly in the mix. Alongside Oklahoma, Alabama, Penn State, Michigan, Texas A&M, USC, Florida State, UCLA, LSU, Georgia, Oregon, and Nebraska are also vying for Arrington’s commitment.
Arrington, known for his blazing speed, has impressed across multiple positions. The 6-foot-2 athlete, who is also a state champion track star, ran a 10.43-second 100m and a 20.76-second 200m in California, earning himself the title of a Division I-caliber sprinter. Last season for Mount Miguel High School, he showcased his skills as a wide receiver, cornerback, and kick returner. On offense, Arrington hauled in 31 receptions for 527 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, he registered 26 tackles, one interception, three pass breakups, and a forced fumble.
With his explosive playmaking ability, Arrington is considered one of the top athletes in the country. Although he might lean towards playing cornerback at the next level, his abilities make him a potential asset at several positions, including special teams.
Arrington’s recruitment has made waves across the nation, with every major service ranking him as a five-star prospect, with the exception of 247Sports, who has him at four stars. Rivals and On3 both have Arrington in their top-10 overall for the 2026 class, and he’s ranked as a top-3 athlete at his position.
Currently, Oklahoma has four commitments for the 2026 class, all offensive players: quarterback Jaden O’Neal, wide receiver Daniel Odom, offensive lineman Will Conroy, and tight end Ryder Mix. Three of those recruits are four-stars, with Conroy being the only three-star so far.
