Jack Grealish Reveals Life-Changing News Amid Manchester City Career
Manchester City star Jack Grealish and his girlfriend Sasha Attwood have announced they are expecting their first child, sharing their joyous news on Instagram. Grealish posted a heartfelt photo with his hand on Attwood’s baby bump, captioning it: “Life’s biggest blessing.” Attwood echoed the sentiment on her account, writing: “Half of me, half of you – beyond blessed.”
The couple, who began dating in their teens while attending school in Solihull, have remained steadfast throughout Grealish’s rise in football. Starting his professional journey at Aston Villa, Grealish made a high-profile move to Manchester City in 2021.
Attwood has been a constant source of support, standing by Grealish through all his football endeavors, according to the Mirror. In addition to her supportive role, Attwood has built a successful modeling career, working with major brands like L’Oreal, House of Fraser, Pretty Little Thing, and Boohoo.
Despite an injury-plagued season that saw Grealish left out of England’s Euro 2024 squad, he has used the time to support Attwood during her pregnancy. The couple has not yet revealed the baby’s due date.
While England has advanced to the semi-finals, some have noted the team’s attack has lacked the spark Grealish could have provided. Before the tournament, England manager Gareth Southgate defended his decision to leave Grealish out, citing the strong performances of other players.
“The fact is we’ve got some players who have been playing extremely well all season in the league and we just feel other players have had stronger seasons – particularly in the past six months or so,” Southgate explained.
“We saw some fantastic performances the other night which underlined some of that and in the attacking area of the pitch we’re blessed with a lot of options and they’re all slightly different. [James Maddison] and Jack would have provided us with something different as well and they’ve been tough calls. They’re calls we’ve gone over and over and over as a group of staff to try to be fair and to try to use the right rationale.
“We back our decisions but we recognize we could have gone a different route. The boys are big characters, fabulous teammates, and great boys to work with. It’s sad to have to deliver that news to them.”
Despite the professional challenges, Grealish and Attwood are excited about the future and the new addition to their family.
