Manchester City’s packed Premier League schedule for the festive period has been officially revealed, with several key matches rescheduled due to TV broadcast selections.
One of the most anticipated games of the season, City’s showdown against arch-rivals Manchester United, has been moved to Sunday, December 15. Originally set for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday, December 14, the derby at the Etihad Stadium will now start at 4:30pm and be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Before their battle with United, City will take on Nottingham Forest at home on Wednesday, December 4. This match, which will be aired on Amazon Prime Video, has had its kick-off time slightly adjusted to 7:30pm, 15 minutes earlier than originally scheduled.
Following the Forest encounter, Pep Guardiola’s men will head to London to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday, December 7. This game, however, remains unchanged with its 3pm kick-off time, as it was not selected for television coverage.
As the holiday season approaches, City’s away clash against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday, December 21, will now begin at 12:30pm instead of 3pm, with TNT Sports set to broadcast the game live.
Boxing Day will see City host Everton at the Etihad Stadium, with this fixture also moved to a lunchtime slot. The match will now kick off at 12:30pm and be shown on Amazon Prime Video.
City will wrap up their 2024 campaign with a visit to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City. Initially scheduled for a 3pm kick-off on Sunday, December 29, the game will now get underway at 2:30pm, airing live on Sky Sports.
Looking ahead to 2025, City’s first match of the new year will see them welcome West Ham United to the Etihad on Saturday, January 4, maintaining its original 3pm start time.
Another fixture change comes on Tuesday, January 14, when City travel to London to face Brentford. This match has been brought forward by 15 minutes and will now kick off at 7:30pm, with live coverage on TNT Sports.
City’s away clash against Ipswich Town has also been rescheduled. Originally set for Saturday, January 18, the game will now take place a day later on Sunday, January 19, at 4:30pm, airing live on Sky Sports.
Rounding out January, City will host Chelsea at the Etihad on Saturday, January 25, with this evening kick-off scheduled for 5:30pm and shown live on Sky Sports.
