“Éderson’s Surprising Reason for Celebrating Harry Kane’s Move to Bayern Munich!”

Bayern Munich fans likely share the same sentiment.

In a candid interview with ESPN Brasil, Manchester City goalkeeper Éderson revealed that Bayern Munich’s current striker, Harry Kane, has been his toughest opponent to date. During Kane’s time at Tottenham Hotspur, he often found himself up against Éderson when City and S oofpurs clashed in the Premier League.

“I’ve faced a number of top strikers, especially in the Premier League,” Éderson said. “But the one that stands out, the one with the most quality, is Harry Kane.”

Éderson praised Kane’s all-around ability, highlighting his skills both inside and outside the box: “He’s got incredible quality, whether he’s finishing in the box or dropping deep to receive the ball. From my perspective, he’s one of the best strikers I’ve ever played against.”

Tottenham was notorious for being a thorn in Manchester City’s side during Kane’s time there, much like Borussia Mönchengladbach is for Bayern Munich today. City, despite their dominance in the Premier League, often stumbled against Spurs, and Kane’s influence was a major reason. No doubt, Éderson feels a bit of relief now that Kane has swapped London for Munich—though that relief may be short-lived if the two teams meet in this season’s Champions League.
