Justin Marks Expands Trackhouse Racing to Rolex 24 with Star-Studded Lineup
Trackhouse Racing, under the leadership of Justin Marks, continues to break boundaries in the motorsport world. The NASCAR team owner has officially announced Trackhouse Racing’s entry into the prestigious Rolex 24 at Daytona, set for January 25-26 at the iconic Daytona International Speedway.
This move marks another milestone for Trackhouse Racing, which has rapidly expanded its racing portfolio, including a historic venture into MotoGP. Now, Marks is taking his team into the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, with a formidable lineup of talent and partnerships that underline his vision for motorsport dominance.
Star-Studded Driver Lineup
Driving the No. 91 Chevrolet Corvette in the GTD Pro class will be a dream team of motorsport stars:
- Shane van Gisbergen, NASCAR driver and three-time Supercars champion.
- Conor Zilisch, an 18-year-old rising star in racing.
- Scott McLaughlin, an IndyCar driver for Team Penske and former Supercars champion.
- Ben Keating, a sports car veteran and two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner.
Marks expressed his excitement, saying:
“Participating in the Rolex 24 has been a dream since the inception of Trackhouse Racing. We wanted to make sure we could enter with a top-notch partner in Chevrolet and TF Sport, as well as a driver lineup that could compete for the victory. We feel like this group we have put together can compete for the trophy.”
A Legacy of Winning
The Rolex 24 project will be a collaboration between Trackhouse Racing and TF Sport, operating under the name Trackhouse by TF Sport. The entry continues Trackhouse’s relationship with Chevrolet, which has been pivotal since the team’s NASCAR debut in 2021. Over the years, the team has celebrated significant wins with drivers Ross Chastain, Daniel Suárez, and van Gisbergen.
Driver Perspectives
Ben Keating, the most experienced sports car racer in the group, shared his enthusiasm:
“I’ve won Le Mans in a Corvette and a world championship in a Corvette. I’m thrilled to be back with TF Sport, a team I know very well. Teaming with Shane, Scott, and Connor will be a lot of fun. This is a big challenge, but one I’m excited for.”
Scott McLaughlin, making his Rolex 24 debut, reflected on the opportunity:
“When the chance came up to run with Ben, Connor, and Shane, I jumped at it. I’ve always wanted to race in a Chevrolet Corvette, and I couldn’t imagine a better group. Shane and I have a lot of history racing against each other, and now I get to race with him again. This is a team that can win a Rolex.”
Building Momentum Across Motorsports
Trackhouse’s expansion isn’t limited to IMSA. In 2024, the team made headlines with its entry into MotoGP, becoming the first American team to compete full-time in over a decade. This versatility reflects Marks’ ambition to establish Trackhouse Racing as a powerhouse across multiple racing disciplines.
Marks’ journey comes full circle with this Rolex 24 entry. His first professional race as a driver was in the Rolex 24 in 2001, and he achieved victory there in 2009. Now, as a team owner, he’s back to compete for another win:
“This organizational expansion is a testament to our relentless drive to succeed in every form of motorsport. We’re here to win.”
What’s Next for Trackhouse?
With less than two months until the Rolex 24, the team’s preparation and collaboration with TF Sport signal a strong debut in the endurance racing world. This bold move underscores Trackhouse Racing’s growing influence and sets the stage for a new chapter in their already impressive legacy.
