“Josh Allen Sparks Injury Fears with Postgame X-Rays After Battle Against Lions”

LIVE: JOSH ALLEN DOMINATES LIONS IN THRILLING WIN, BUT LEAVES FIELD WITH INJURY CONCERN

The highly anticipated Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions matchup in Week 15 more than lived up to expectations. In a wild game at Ford Field, Jared Goff and Josh Allen combined for a staggering 1,080 total yards and 90 total points, with the Bills emerging victorious 48-42 in a thrilling shootout.

Josh Allen’s MVP-Contending Performance

Josh Allen, the Bills’ dual-threat superstar, had a monster game, racking up 431 total yards and four touchdowns against the No. 1 team in the NFC. The 28-year-old quarterback further solidified his MVP frontrunner status with his incredible performance, becoming the first player in NFL history to record 35 or more total touchdowns in four consecutive seasons.

However, despite the victory, Allen was dealing with an injury concern. After the game, he was seen heading for X-rays, leaving some fans worried about his health.

“Yeah, I just took a funky fall,” Allen explained to reporters. “More peace of mind than anything… Everything checked out. I’m good.”

Though it’s unclear exactly when or how Allen was injured, he took several tough hits throughout the game, and it’s evident that he played through some discomfort.

Sean McDermott’s Praise for Allen

Despite the injury scare, Bills head coach Sean McDermott had nothing but high praise for his quarterback’s performance.

“The best I’ve seen him play,” McDermott said. “Not surprised. When he sets a goal for the team, he’s hard to stop. People have tried, they’ll keep trying… it’s just incredible… what more can you say?”

Bills Positioning Themselves for a Strong Playoff Run

With the win, the Buffalo Bills improved to an 11-3 record, securing the No. 2 seed in the AFC. Their victory over the Lions also keeps their hopes alive for a No. 1 seed, although the Kansas City Chiefs (13-1) are still in control of the top spot after their 21-7 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Kansas City will play two games in a 10-day span, facing the Houston Texans and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Patrick Mahomes‘ high-ankle sprain could make that stretch a challenging one for the Chiefs.

Next Up for the Bills

The Bills will host the New England Patriots (3-11) on Sunday, Dec. 22. With Allen’s injury status looking better than initially feared, the Bills are poised for another strong playoff push. Stay tuned for more updates as Buffalo continues their journey toward the postseason.
