Longhorns BREAKING NEWS: “Texans’ Kris Boyd Breaks Silence on Sideline Outburst During Playoff Clash with Chiefs!”

Kris Boyd Clears the Air After Heated Playoff Moment

During the Houston Texans’ divisional-round loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, a tense moment on the sidelines involving Texans defensive back Kris Boyd and special teams coordinator Frank Ross caught the attention of fans and cameras alike. After a near turnover, Boyd appeared to shove Ross, sparking speculation of a physical altercation between the two.

However, Boyd has since clarified that the incident was a result of pure adrenaline and excitement—not animosity.

I was just too excited,” Boyd explained earlier this week, as reported by On3. “Did something that I shouldn’t have done. I shouldn’t have done it. Keep my helmet on.”

Boyd recounted the chaotic sequence that led to the misunderstanding:

I was turnt. First play, they thought they broke it and had a big play, and I got the ball out. As I’m getting up and I look at the screen, I see ‘number white’ and they’re all pointing that way. I was like, ‘Oh yeah, we got the ball!’ I was just turnt. You’ll see.”

The former Texas Longhorns standout explained that his excitement turned to confusion when he was informed of a penalty that negated the turnover.

I was running over to everybody, getting ready to shake their hand, but then someone grabbed me and was like, ‘Nah, that’s not good. We got a flag and it’s their ball.’

While the moment may have appeared heated, Boyd’s comments make it clear that his reaction was fueled by passion for the game rather than any real conflict with Ross. The Texans ultimately fell short against the Chiefs, but Boyd’s energy and enthusiasm remain undeniable as he reflects on the playoff experience.
