Breaking: Tre Aiken Names Top Five, Sets NC State Visit

Clinton High School (S.C.) junior offensive tackle Tre Aiken has narrowed down his college choices, and NC State is still in the mix. On Saturday morning, the 6-foot-4, 305-pound lineman—who has been on the Wolfpack’s radar since early June—announced his top five schools: NC State, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, and Virginia Tech.

Aiken, a three-star composite prospect, has attracted over a dozen offers throughout his recruitment. He made his announcement public via a social media post, generating plenty of buzz around his decision.

The highly regarded offensive tackle has already visited Raleigh multiple times since receiving his offer from Dave Doeren and his staff. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Aiken is ranked No. 800 overall in the 2026 class, No. 75 among interior offensive linemen, and No. 13 in South Carolina. His connection with NC State continues to strengthen, as he has now scheduled an official visit for early June.

Meanwhile, NC State’s 2026 recruiting class is starting to take shape, with four early commits, including three-star offensive tackle Brady Sakowitz from Trinity Episcopal School (Va.). Per On3, the Wolfpack’s class currently ranks No. 42 nationally and No. 11 in the ACC.
