South Carolina Stars Heading to NYC for Exclusive Gamecock Meet-and-Greet
Gamecock Nation is taking over the Big Apple! A trio of South Carolina football standouts—quarterback LaNorris Sellers, EDGE Dylan Stewart, and wide receiver Mazeo Bennett—are set to make a special appearance at one of the most beloved Gamecock bars in New York City.
GamecockCentral has learned that the three stars will be at The Mason Jar on Monday, March 10th, for an exclusive meet-and-greet with South Carolina fans. The event is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., giving NYC-based Gamecocks a rare chance to connect with some of their favorite players.
A Gamecock Haven in the Heart of Manhattan

For years, The Mason Jar (located at 43 E 30th St, New York, NY) has been a home away from home for South Carolina fans in the Northeast. The bar is decked out in Gamecock memorabilia, featuring jerseys, helmets, signed basketballs, and even a framed photo of Jadeveon Clowney’s legendary “The Hit.” On game days, it transforms into a mini Williams-Brice Stadium, complete with Sandstorm blasting and fans locked in on every play.
Mason Jar co-owner Brian Ausfeld expressed his excitement about hosting the Gamecock trio:
“We couldn’t be happier to have the relationship we do with the University of South Carolina,” Ausfeld told GamecockCentral. “Game days at The Mason Jar feel just like being in Williams-Brice. You’ll hear Sandstorm non-stop while fans cheer on every play. We’re incredibly lucky and grateful to have talented athletes like LaNorris, Mazeo, and Dylan stopping by for some amazing BBQ and to meet the NYC Gamecocks.”
Bringing Gamecock Football to New York’s Loyal Fanbase
With over 5,000 South Carolina alumni living in New York, the event will provide a rare opportunity for one of the largest Gamecock chapters outside the Southeast to meet some of their rising stars.
Equity Sports agent Selwyn Roberts, who represents Sellers, Stewart, and Bennett, emphasized the importance of the event:
“This is a special chance for Gamecock fans in New York to see some of their favorite players up close,” Roberts told GamecockCentral.
With South Carolina’s fanbase continuing to grow nationwide, events like this showcase just how strong Gamecock pride runs—even in the heart of New York City.
