The Gamecocks (29-3) showcased their depth, with MiLaysia Fulwiley adding 19 points, Sania Feagin scoring 14, Tessa Johnson contributing 11, and Chloe Kitts chipping in 10. The win sets up a high-stakes championship clash on Sunday afternoon against the winner of No. 1 Texas vs. No. 9 LSU.

Oklahoma, coming off a nine-game winning streak, was led by Sahara Williams (17 points), Payton Verhulst (15 points, nine assists, six rebounds), and Reyna Scott (10 points).

Fast Start Sets the Tone for Gamecocks

The game was briefly competitive, with the score tied three times early on. However, South Carolina quickly seized control, finishing the first quarter with a 23-15 lead and extending it to 45-28 by halftime. From there, the Gamecocks never looked back, maintaining their dominance throughout the second half.

Texas Sets Up SEC Title Clash With South Carolina After Gritty Win Over LSU

Madison Booker put on a scoring clinic, dropping 25 points to lead No. 1 Texas past No. 9 LSU in a hard-fought 56-49 victory in the SEC women’s tournament semifinals Saturday night in Greenville, S.C.

Rori Harmon contributed 10 points for the Longhorns (31-2), who extended their winning streak to 15 games and earned a spot in Sunday’s championship battle against South Carolina.

For LSU (28-5), Mikaylah Williams led the team with 11 points, while Aneesah Morrow—who scored a record-setting 36 points in LSU’s quarterfinal win over Florida—was limited to just 10 points before suffering a right ankle injury early in the third quarter.

To make matters worse, LSU was already without leading scorer Flau’Jae Johnson, who sat out due to shin inflammation.

Now, all eyes turn to Sunday’s SEC Championship matchup: Can Texas extend its winning streak, or will South Carolina’s depth and dominance bring them another SEC title?
