Collin Murray-Boyles Earns AP All-SEC Honors After Standout Season!
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Collin Murray-Boyles has cemented his place among South Carolina’s elite. The sophomore forward was named to the Associated Press Second Team All-SEC on Tuesday, becoming the first Gamecock to earn the honor since Chris Silva in 2019. The Columbia native is now the 24th player in program history to receive AP All-SEC recognition.
Murray-Boyles put together an incredible sophomore season, leading the team in points (16.7 PPG), rebounds (8.1 RPG), steals (1.5 SPG), and blocks (1.4 BPG) while also contributing 2.4 assists per game. He was the Gamecocks’ top scorer with 518 total points and dominated the boards with 252 rebounds.
He started all 31 regular-season games, scoring in double figures 27 times, including 11 games with at least 20 points. His eight double-doubles tied for third in the SEC alongside Texas’ Arthur Kaluma. Murray-Boyles also led the SEC in field goal percentage, shooting an efficient 58.5% (192-of-328), ranking 21st nationally.
Historic Season for Murray-Boyles
Murray-Boyles made history as the only Power Five player this season to average at least 16 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal per game while shooting over 50% from the field. He is also the first SEC player since 2005-06 to have multiple games with 10+ field goals while shooting over 90% from the floor.
The sophomore forward was a Preseason All-SEC selection and earned a spot on the 2024-25 Oscar Robertson Trophy Midseason Watch List in February.
