The South Carolina Gamecocks have several prospects eyeing the 2025 NFL Draft, and among the most intriguing is Raheim Sanders — widely considered one of the biggest sleepers in this class.
After transferring from Arkansas to South Carolina, Sanders battled injuries throughout his lone season in Columbia but still managed to rush for 881 yards and 11 touchdowns over 12 games, averaging 4.8 yards per carry.
Currently projected to go 197th overall, according to NFLMockDraftDatabase, Sanders has caught the attention of analysts and coaches alike. In a recent ESPN article by Adam Rittenberg, several college football coaches pointed to Sanders as a standout under the radar.
“I still felt like he was still nursing the injury a touch from Arkansas,” one SEC defensive coordinator told ESPN. “But down the stretch he was killing it when they started rolling a little bit more on offense and he was playing well.”
Sanders bolstered his draft stock at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, where he posted impressive numbers for a 217-pound back. He ran a 4.47 in the 40-yard dash, hit 36.5 inches in the vertical, and measured in at 6 feet tall with 31½-inch arms and 9¼-inch hands.
With a strong pre-draft showing and plenty of untapped potential, Sanders is positioning himself as a possible steal in the later rounds of the draft.
