Flau’jae Johnson Stuns at the MET Gala, Eyes Stardom On and Off the Court
Just days after making waves with her glamorous debut at the 2025 MET Gala, Flau’jae Johnson treated fans to an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how she brought her jaw-dropping ensemble to life.
The LSU Tigers guard turned heads in a body-hugging black-and-white couture gown featuring a dramatic column structure and high flared sleeves that gave the illusion of a regal cape. Delicate floral emblems adorned the neckline, adding an elegant contrast to the bold silhouette. Completing her look were shimmering silver accessories and sleek black heels that elevated her striking appearance.
In a stylish Instagram reel posted Thursday, Johnson walked fans through her beauty routine and shared how she prepared for her first-ever appearance at New York’s iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art. The standout athlete-turned-style-icon partnered with CoverGirl for her glam, proudly showcasing her favorite products from the brand.
“Get ready with me for the first Monday in May. This was a moment and the glam had to match,” Johnson captioned. “I used some of my fave @Covergirl products for the look. Couldn’t get enough of this Yummy Gloss in ‘Minter Is Coming’ to finish off my look and kept my lips hydrated and glossy all night.”

The beauty brand collaboration was a major highlight of her MET Gala journey, as Flau’jae further promoted the partnership through styled images on Instagram posted the day of the event.
Locked in for Her Final College Season
While Johnson may have turned heads in the fashion world, her focus is firmly set on dominating the court. The Savannah, Georgia native has opted to return to LSU for her senior year, despite being a potential early pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
“This is my last year. I definitely want to win,” Johnson said. “But I want to make sure I’m being developed to be the player that I want to be in the WNBA. Trying to find out how I can make that happen this year. I want to be as prepared as possible.”
Coming off a stellar junior season, Flau’jae Johnson posted career highs, averaging 18.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.7 steals per game on an efficient 46.8% shooting. Now, with her sights set on a national championship and WNBA readiness, she’s balancing both superstardom and legacy-building in true powerhouse fashion.
From the MET Gala runway to the NCAA hardwood, Flau’jae Johnson is proving she’s not just a baller—she’s a brand.
