South Carolina Recruit Oliviyah Edwards Shows Off Her Stylish Monochrome Look [PHOTOS]

Oliviyah Edwards, the No. 4 overall prospect in the Class of 2025, took on a different role last Friday — not on the court, but courtside — as an assistant coach for Team JuJu during the Overtime Select Takeover event in Atlanta.

In a post shared on Thursday, Edwards gave fans a glimpse behind the scenes of the high-energy weekend. The five-star power forward dropped several stylish tunnel shots on Instagram, posing confidently in a blue-and-white vertically striped short-sleeve button-down shirt, bright blue athletic shorts, and white sneakers. She captioned the carousel with:

The event, backed by Gatorade, featured some of the biggest names in women’s college basketball. USC’s JuJu Watkins and LSU’s Flau’jae Johnson served as head coaches in the “Next Up 5s” series, showcasing top young talent. Team JuJu emerged victorious, beating Team Flau’jae 80–64 and clinching the series 3–1.

Although Edwards was technically an assistant coach for Watkins’ squad, the Trojan superstar jokingly redefined her role during a lighthearted chat with Jessie Moses.

I wouldn’t necessarily say Big Oh was a part of our coaching staff,” said Watkins. “I would say she was more like … mascot. Like, yeah, she brought the energy.

Even Moses chimed in with a playful jab:

I think her and her bear played the same amount of role in our win.

Despite the teasing, there’s no question that Oliviyah Edwards is far more than a sideline hype woman — she’s one of the most sought-after recruits in the country. South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley is among the many elite programs eyeing her as a future cornerstone.

Edwards Joins Adidas’ Elite 2025 High School NIL Class

Adding to her impressive résumé, Edwards was recently announced as part of Adidas’ 2025 High School NIL Class, a prestigious group that highlights the top rising basketball talent across the country.

The class, officially unveiled on Instagram, includes eight elite prospects:

  • Girls: Oliviyah Edwards, Kaleena Smith (No. 1 in ESPN’s 2027 rankings), and Kate Harpring (No. 2 in 2026).
  • Boys: Taylen Kinney, Caleb Holt (ranked No. 7 nationally), Adam Oumiddoch, Anthony Thompson, and Bruce Branch III.

Adidas celebrated the announcement with a bold caption:

Proud to announce our 2025 High School NIL Class. The best young hoopers in the game, hands down.

At 6-foot-3, Edwards is currently the top-ranked power forward and the No. 1 player in Washington, drawing offers from powerhouse programs like USC, Tennessee, South Carolina, UCLA, Duke, BYU, LSU, and Washington.

According to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, USC leads the race for Edwards’ commitment with a 48.1% chance, followed by Tennessee at 14.9% — a stat that could give JuJu Watkins and the Trojans a recruiting edge.

As one of the brightest stars in the 2025 class — both on the hardwood and in the spotlight — Oliviyah Edwards is proving she’s not just a top recruit, but a future face of women’s basketball.
