Former South Carolina Star Sania Feagin to Be Featured in Upcoming Sports Documentary
Former South Carolina Gamecocks standout Sania Feagin is stepping into a new kind of spotlight this fall. The former collegiate star and current WNBA rookie will be one of the central figures in a brand-new documentary set to debut in September, titled “Fastest Six Weeks in Sports.”
The film captures the whirlwind six-week stretch between the end of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament and the beginning of the WNBA season—a pivotal and often overlooked period of transition for female athletes. The project follows Feagin, along with fellow rookie Georgia Amoore and WNBA veteran Kelsey Plum, as they each navigate their unique paths during this intense period.
Feagin, now suiting up for the Los Angeles Sparks, is making the jump from college stardom to professional hoops. She shares the screen with Georgia Amoore, another talented rookie whose promising journey was abruptly halted by a season-ending knee injury even before her WNBA career could take off. The documentary also features Kelsey Plum, a seasoned pro entering her ninth year in the league and her first season with the Sparks—making her a new teammate to Feagin.

The documentary is a collaboration between Religion of Sports, Ensemble, and Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment. The announcement was made at the Cannes Lions Festival by Lauren Fisher, Vice President and Creative Director at Religion of Sports, who is also known for co-directing “In the Arena: Serena Williams.”
“This six-week window represents everything that makes women’s sports so compelling – raw talent, authentic storytelling, and moments that transcend sport,” Fisher explained. “Alongside some incredible partners, we’re proud to spotlight these athletes during such a pivotal time in their careers.”
Feagin took to social media to share her excitement, posting: “Can’t wait, so excited.”
The production received a major boost this week with sponsorship from DoorDash and Uncrustables, allowing filmmakers to complete the project and secure a release date. The documentary will be available for streaming on both Roku and YouTube.
As the world of women’s sports continues to rise in prominence and popularity, “Fastest Six Weeks in Sports” promises to offer an intimate, emotional, and inspiring look behind the scenes at the trials, triumphs, and transitions of athletes who are redefining the game on and off the court.
