Allisha Gray Set to Defend Her Crown at WNBA All-Star Weekend
Former South Carolina standout and current Atlanta Dream star Allisha Gray is heading into WNBA All-Star Weekend with history on her side—and her eyes set on more.
On Friday night, Gray returns to defend her titles in the WNBA 3-Point Contest and the Skills Challenge, two events she dominated last year. In fact, she made league history by becoming the first player ever to win both competitions in a single All-Star Weekend.
Now, she’s back to do it again.
Star-Studded 3-Point Showdown
In the 3-Point Contest, Gray will square off against some of the game’s top sharpshooters—Sonia Citron (Washington Mystics), Sabrina Ionescu (New York Liberty), and Kelsey Plum (Los Angeles Sparks).
During last year’s contest, Gray posted a fiery first-round score of 23, then clinched the win with 22 points in the final round.
Testing Skill and Speed
In the Skills Challenge, she’ll compete against a stacked lineup that includes Natasha Cloud (New York Liberty), Skylar Diggins and Erica Wheeler (Seattle Storm), and Courtney Williams (Minnesota Lynx). Contestants will battle through a timed obstacle course testing their passing, shooting, and ball-handling precision.

Gray impressed fans last year by completing the course in 32.1 seconds during the final round, earning her the crown.
When and Where to Watch
Both events kick off Friday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, live from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the home of the Indiana Fever.
Gray’s 2024 Season: A Career High
Gray is not only a returning All-Star—but a starting one for the very first time.
The Dream guard earned her third consecutive All-Star selection, and this time, she topped both player and media voting among all WNBA guards.
She’s having a breakout season, averaging 18.6 points, 3.9 assists, and 5.5 rebounds per game—all career highs. Her efforts earned her Eastern Conference Player of the Month honors in both May and June, making her the first Atlanta Dream player ever to win it twice in a season.
Even more impressively, she’s the first Eastern Conference player since 2019 to win back-to-back monthly honors to open a season.
Don’t miss it—Allisha Gray is ready to make more WNBA history.
