Bella Hines Reflects on Jordan Brand Experience and LSU Commitment with Heartfelt Praise for Kim Mulkey
Four-star guard Bella Hines, one of the most electrifying prospects in the 2025 class, continues to shine both on and off the court. After committing to LSU in April 2023, Hines made headlines again in November by becoming the only high school athlete to sign a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal with Jordan Brand.
This past weekend, Hines was among the standout faces at the WNBA All-Star festivities in Indianapolis, representing the Jordan Brand at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. She shared a carousel of Instagram photos from the event, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at her All-Star weekend experience.
“Had an amazing time this weekend with my Jordan Brand family at the WNBA All-Star game,” Hines wrote. “The @dickssportinggoods booth at WNBA Live was great and I’m super grateful that I was able to be interviewed and talk to the younger girls. Beyond blessed to have been part of this.”
At the event, Hines rocked a chic beige Jordan top paired with white pants. She was seen alongside fellow Jordan Brand signee and future LSU teammate Mikaylah Williams, who joined the brand in March.
A Perfect Fit in Baton Rouge
Hines, the top high school player in New Mexico, previously visited LSU in March and instantly felt at home with head coach Kim Mulkey and her staff. That visit played a pivotal role in her decision to commit.
“(Coach Mulkey) was cracking jokes the whole time, saying her griddy was better than mine,” Hines recalled with a smile. “We had a family meeting in her office, and she was just cracking us jokes and making us feel so welcomed. I’m just glad I’ve been able to get recruited by Coach Mulkey.”
It wasn’t just Mulkey who left a lasting impression. Assistant coach Gary Redus, affectionately referred to as “Coach G,” also played a major part in Hines’ decision.
“Ever since I met Coach G, he’s always been super cool, super supportive. He’s honestly one of my biggest hype men,” she said. “He’s a huge part of the reason why I committed.”
Hines joins a stacked 2025 LSU recruiting class that already includes five-star stars Grace Knox, ZaKiyah Johnson, and Divine Bourrage — a group that’s shaping up to keep the Tigers among the elite programs in women’s college basketball.
