“Fabrizio Romano Drops Bombshell: Manchester City Poised to Pounce on Bayern Superstar!”

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has revealed that if Jamal Musiala does not extend his contract with Bayern Munich, both Real Madrid and Manchester City will undoubtedly join the race for his signature.

For Manchester City, the summer transfer window of 2025 may be crucial, especially as Pep Guardiola’s side could face changes in their attacking midfield setup. Kevin De Bruyne, currently in the final year of his contract, might see an extension depending on his fitness and continued ability to perform at the highest level. Similarly, the future of Bernardo Silva remains uncertain, despite his recent contract renewal. Silva has long been linked with a move to warmer climates, leaving City’s midfield plans in a state of flux.

With potential gaps emerging, City’s transfer strategy will likely involve identifying top-tier talent to step in, and Jamal Musiala, the young German sensation, could be on their radar. Romano explained on his YouTube channel that Bayern Munich are keen to keep Musiala and have already initiated talks to extend his contract.

“Not considering the possibility of Jamal Musiala leaving the club this summer was Bayern Munich,” Romano emphasized, adding that while there were rumors of Manchester City and Real Madrid’s interest in the player, he was never close to leaving during the last transfer window. However, Bayern Munich’s mission is now to secure Musiala’s future, viewing him as a crucial figure in their long-term plans.

“Bayern want to extend the contract of Jamal Musiala, and this is a really important mission of this board, of this management,” Romano noted. Max Eberl, Bayern’s sporting director, sees Musiala as not just a player but a key brand ambassador for the club—one who could symbolize Bayern’s future as a German and world-class talent.

Romano revealed that Bayern has already made a new contract offer to Musiala, although the negotiations are still in their early stages. “It is not a fast one, it is not something they will resolve tonight or tomorrow, but there is a conversation, there is an exchange,” he said. The Bundesliga champions are reportedly ready to invest significantly in Musiala, offering lucrative financial terms including fixed salary, add-ons, and special bonuses.

Musiala’s current deal runs until the summer of 2026, but Bayern is eager to settle the matter before the summer of 2025 to avoid a scenario where the young star enters the final year of his contract. “Otherwise it could be kind of dangerous to keep a player like Musiala with one year left on his contract,” Romano cautioned.

However, should the talks break down, clubs like Manchester City and Real Madrid will be ready to swoop in. “I can guarantee to you that all the top clubs, including Real Madrid, including Man City, including more clubs in England – they all love Jamal Musiala,” Romano said. If an agreement with Bayern isn’t reached, these clubs will be waiting in the wings. For now, Bayern is determined to keep the 20-year-old at the Allianz Arena, but his future remains a hot topic for Europe’s elite clubs.

Manchester City fans are no strangers to the success the Bundesliga pipeline has brought them. Over the years, the club has secured several top talents from German football under the Abu Dhabi ownership. Kevin De Bruyne, who arrived from Wolfsburg in 2015, is one of the club’s biggest success stories, while others like Leroy Sané, Stefan Ortega Moreno, and Vincent Kompany have also made the transition from the Bundesliga to the Etihad.

Whether Musiala will follow in their footsteps remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: if he doesn’t extend his Bayern contract, the race for his signature will be fierce, and Manchester City will be right in the thick of it.
