ARSENAL: DONE DEAL.

Reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Real Sociedad and Arsenal have verbally agreed to loan out Kieran Tierney to them for the entire season.

The Scotland international made just six starts for the north London giants last season and was frequently a substitute.

The 26-year-old experienced a similar fate during the preseason when other left-backs such as Jurrien Timber, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Jakub Kiwior were chosen over him.

Given that Oleksandr Zinchenko has recovered fully from a calf injury, Arsenal has now granted the Scot a short-term transfer away from the club.

Without a buy-out clause, Sociedad has completed a loan transaction for Tierney. His La Liga team will pay his entire £110,000 weekly salary until June for a small fee to be paid to Arsenal.

With Tierney, Arsenal chose wisely.

Tierney has been a fan favorite since he joined the team in 2019 from Celtic, but it is obvious that manager Mikel Arteta no longer has him in mind for the starting lineup.

Last season, the former Hoops graduate came off the bench 21 times in the Premier League; it is clear that he does not want to go through that again this year.

He will start at Sociedad and will have the opportunity to participate in the Champions League.

Both teams would profit from the move.

Arsenal will have the chance to sell Tierney for a good transfer fee the following year if he has an outstanding season with Sociedad.

On the other hand, Tierney has the chance to become a dependable character. A successful stint could convince the La Liga team to sign him permanently.

After Folarin Balogun, the Scot is expected to be the club’s most recent first-team star to depart. Balogun is traveling to Monaco. The Ligue 1 team has reached an agreement on a deal worth £38.5 million.
