With Declan Rice out, the combined XI for Arsenal vs. Man City only features four Gunners stars.

In preparation for today’s Premier League match at the Emirates, Express Sport has put together a combined XI of Arsenal and Manchester City.

Michael Arteta and Pep Guardiola.

This afternoon, Arsenal will try to defeat Manchester City in the Premier League for the first time since December 2015.

In their last 15 Premier League games against their opponents from today, the Gunners are winless, with City taking 13 of those games. Express Sport selects a combined starting XI from the teams of the two clubs after Arsenal narrowly defeated City last season.

The goalkeeper is Ederson.

David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale, two excellent Arsenal goalkeepers, are not included in this starting lineup. Ederson is among the best in the world and has been doing it for a very long time.

The 2020 FA Cup semifinal was the only time the Brazilian has ever lost to the Gunners.

To compete with Ederson for this position, Raya and Ramsdale must have years of experience at the highest level.

Walker, Saliba, Dias, and Zinchenko are the defense.

William Saliba and Ruben Dias seem like a good center-back combination.

Who knows what would have happened if Saliba had remained healthy at the end of the previous season?

Saliba has dominated the Premier League.

Even Pep Guardiola occasionally is unsure of his best back four because City has so many excellent defenders.

It would be challenging to identify City’s best player at left-back given how frequently he switches who plays there.

Oleksandr Zinchenko deserves to be on this team just because he is so important to Arsenal.

When it comes to right-back, Kyle Walker is miles ahead of the competition.
