Bukayo Saka’s response to winning the England award once more.

After a year in which he notched his first hat-trick in international competition, Arsenal and England star Bukayo Saka has maintained his position as England’s player of the year.

Bukayo Saka insists that he is making preparations for an even more successful year.

Saka, an Arsenal winger, was named the Professional Footballers’ Association Young Player of the Year in addition to winning England’s Player of the Year for the second straight season.

Saka helped Arsenal finish second in the Premier League by scoring 14 goals and making 11 assists during the past 12 months, while he also scored seven goals in 10 appearances for England.

Saka claims he can improve on those numbers, and when asked if he could, he responded, “Yes, 100%.

Each season, I try to get better and advance.

So this year, I’m definitely setting higher goals.

“I think it’s about commitment, you know, commitment to being better, so obviously, it requires me to do a lot of things in terms of listening, watching clips, training hard every day, and putting in the extra work to try and keep progressing.

I’ve put my head down, worked harder, set some targets and goals for myself, and then I’ve just gone from there and tried to achieve them – each year, I try to keep improving.”.

Saka has no doubt that he can win the title this time after Arsenal came close to winning it last season and England has the Euros coming up next summer.

According to him, I’ve come close to accomplishing something significant every year, he continued on BBC Radio 5Live.

I’m excited about this year because Arsenal and England are definitely closer as a team this year. Arsenal has accumulated 10 out of a possible 12 points through the first four league games of this season.

During the upcoming international break, England will play Scotland in a friendly and Ukraine in a Euro 2024 qualifying match.

A first-career hat-trick against North Macedonia was one of Saka’s four qualifying goals, which helped the Three Lions achieve a perfect record.

England would be guaranteed a spot in the Euros with three more points against Ukraine.

Despite being a home match for Ukraine, the match is being played in Poland at a neutral site because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Saka said following that 7-0 North Macedonia victory, “It’s been a very long season, with some positives and of course some negatives.

“However, the season has come to an end, and I don’t believe I could have done it any better, so it’s time to unwind and take a well-deserved break.

“A wonderful way to end the year.

We are extremely pleased with the attendance and the way the crowd stood by us from the very beginning to the very end.”.
