As a means of fending off Real Madrid, Manchester City is prepared to nearly double Erling Haaland’s salary.

The forward is already the club’s joint highest earner with Kevin De Bruyne, bringing in £375,000 per week.
The new contract that City want to offer him, however, would pay him £600,000.
