Report: Guardiola has been impressed by a “magnificent” player who Man City is keeping an eye on.

One of the teams reportedly keeping an eye on Brighton and Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma is Manchester City.

The most recent summer transfer window was only closed a week ago, but since then, a player who many Premier League fans will be very familiar with has been linked to the Manchester club.

However, the treble winners aren’t the only team interested in the player.

Monitoring Mitoma by the city.

A recent article from 90 Min claims that City is one of the clubs keeping an eye on Mitoma and his future, along with Liverpool, Barcelona, and Napoli.

Brighton, however, are optimistic that they can complete a new contract for the winger before the end of the year, the report also states.

In 41 appearances for Brighton in all competitions last season, the 26-year-old scored 10 goals and provided eight assists.

As a result, during City’s recent preseason tour of Asia, Pep Guardiola named Mitoma as one of his favorite Asian players and referred to his previous season as “extraordinary.”.

The Japanese international has four Premier League games under his belt this new season, scoring one goal and dishing out three assists.

Given everything, it is clear why Mitoma has interest from clubs like City and Brighton and why they want him to sign a new contract.

Moving forward, we believe that City should try to sign the attacker in the upcoming summer transfer window if he ends up having another strong campaign, regardless of whether or not the attacker signs a new contract at his current club in the coming months.
