The home team dominated the game at Oslo’s Ullevaal stadium as the 23-year-old striker opened the scoring after 25 minutes and captain Martin Odegaard doubled their advantage after eight minutes.

Stale Solbakken, the manager of Norway, claimed that as the game went on, his team’s threat level increased.

We had complete control despite the slightly slow start.

They were very stealthy while closing.

Then, he continued, we started to become progressively more dangerous.

“We’ve had complete control for a while before they scored a small goal out of nowhere.”.

After five games in the group, Norway is in third place, eight points behind group leader Scotland and two points behind Spain, who have played one fewer game.

Who is able to compete in Euro 2024?

Each of the 10 groups’ top two teams and runner-up will automatically advance.

The play-offs will then determine which three teams advance.

As the tournament’s hosts, Germany is the only nation that is currently certain to be one of the 24 competing nations.

What dates are important for Euro 2024?

While the final matches are on November 19–21, 2023, the first round of qualifiers is held between March 23–25.

However, because they will be taking part in the finals of that competition, the four Nations League finalists will not be playing on either matchday three or matchday four.

How about the postseason?

Unless they qualify for the tournament by placing in the top two of their qualifying group, every nation that won its Nations League group advances automatically into the play-offs.

In such a case, the next-best nation in the relevant league will be awarded their play-off spot based on the following factors: position in the group, points, and goal differential.

The play-off semi-finals and finals are held between March 21 and 26, 2024, and the play-off draw occurs in November 2023.

What time is the competition?

At Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie in December 2023, the final tournament draw will take place.

The teams will be seeded based on the final standings of the European Qualifiers.

In pot 1, Germany will be the default seed and be assigned position A1 due to its hosting duties.

The three play-off winners, whose identities won’t be known until the draw, will be put into pot 4 for the drawing.

The Olympiastadion in Berlin will host the opening match of Euro 2024 on June 14 and the championship game on July 14.

Who will host Euro 2024?

The Euro 2024 host association’s team, Germany, did not participate in the qualifying draw because they automatically qualified for the championship game.
