As his team “dominated” Everton to win at Goodison Park for the first time in six years and stay in the top four, Mikel Arteta thought his Arsenal team was “incredible.”.

Over the past few years, the Arsenal have largely struggled against Everton.

Before this season, they had not experienced victory on the Toffees’ turf in six years, for whatever motive.

Given how strong they were throughout the season, they might have anticipated correcting that wrong last year, but they didn’t.

They have, however, had a strong start to this campaign as well, and with a 1-0 victory, they were able to vanquish their obstacles.

After the game, Arteta claimed that his team’s performance was excellent in order to break the undesirable streak while speaking to Sky Sports.

“This is the challenge; we discussed it.

We haven’t triumphed here for six years, and there are a few causes for that,” he said.

“It has to do with how you go about things and what you put into each and every action.

We managed to keep them quiet while creating a ton of opportunities, in my opinion.”.

In the first half, Gabriel Martinelli believed he had given the game’s first goal, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Arteta disagreed with the ruling, but was pleased with the outcome nonetheless.

“The first [disallowed] goal should also be accepted. We are overjoyed to leave with a win and a clean sheet because we completely controlled the game, he said.

The manager also explained the key elements of this performance that allowed Arsenal to break their losing streak and the overall strategy for defeating Everton.

“We dominated the game for a long time and we were really solid in those areas. We distributed incredibly little.

No opportunity has been produced by them.

It involves both intelligence and combat, said Arteta.

“We need alternatives because they are obviously very powerful in the box.

In order to tell a story in the game, players must determine when is the best time to do so.”.
