Aaron Ramsdale update following Arsenal development.

After David Raya’s recent inclusion in the lineup, sources have told Football Insider that Aaron Ramsdale is unwilling to serve as Arsenal’s backup.

In the previous week, Raya played back-to-back games against PSV Eindhoven and Everton.

If Ramsdale is not added to the team before the January transfer window, there may be “murmurings” of a possible exit for him.

The English international only recently signed a new long-term contract in May despite having an outstanding season the previous year.

In recent days, he has been heavily linked with moves to Chelsea and Bayern Munich, and a reliable source at Arsenal claims it is “no surprise” that teams are paying attention to his situation.

For the first four games of the 2023–24 season, Ramsdale had one clean sheet and four goals allowed.

In the 2022–23 season, when Arsenal was a title contender, the goalkeeper played in all 38 Premier League games, giving up 43 goals while recording 14 shutouts.

Earlier this month, he received his fourth cap for England as the Three Lions defeated Scotland at Hampden Park.

With the European Championships scheduled to begin in Germany in June 2024, Ramsdale now faces the possibility of missing out on playing first-team football.

As a full member of Spain’s national team, Raya has the potential to represent his country at the tournament as the top goalkeeper.

A 4-0 victory over PSV in the Champions League on Wednesday helped Arsenal start the new season with 13 points out of a possible 15.
