Regarding the Chelsea ace’s health and availability, Pochettino paints a very gloomy picture.

The manager of Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino, will be praying for some good fortune against Burnley on Saturday because his team has only eight points to their name so far this season.

It has been a disastrous start to the Argentinean’s time at Stamford Bridge, with luck appearing to have deserted them both on and off the field.

The issues from last year still exist, with the Blues unable to put together any sort of winning streak and looking toothless in front of goal, despite Todd Boehly having dug deeply into his wallet once more.

Although Poch’s strikers have struggled recently, their seven goals are tied for third-fewest in the entire English top flight.

When all is said and done, it must be considered that Chelsea has the most injured players in the Premier League with 13 players out.

Former Southampton star Romeo Lavia is one of those who has yet to play for his new team.

Lavia, like his fellow Chelsea teammate Moises Caicedo, turned down offers from Liverpool to join the club in west London.

However, after suffering an injury during one of his first training sessions, he hasn’t been seen since.

His short-term prognosis is also not promising.

At his pre-game press conference, Pochettino stated, “Romeo still is not running, so I cannot tell you (when he’ll return).” (h/t Goal).

“He won’t be ready after the international break.

“.

It certainly paints a very gloomy picture, and it appears that it will be some time before Chelsea supporters see Lavia wearing a blue shirt.
