Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has mocked David Raya’s plight after Chelsea’s nightmare.

Aaron Ramsdale has been dethroned from Arsenal’s top spot by David Raya in recent weeks but returned to training on Monday after missing England’s tie with Chelsea at the weekend.

Aaron Ramsdale has teased speculation about his Arsenal future and rivalry with David Raya.

Raya joined Brentford on loan from Arsenal last summer and has since taken Ramsdale’s place in the first team. Ramsdale, who has played a key role in Mikel Arteta’s side over the past two seasons, has dropped to second choice.

Arteta has publicly stated that he sees this situation as a rotation situation, but it is clear that the Gunners manager and coaching staff see Raya as their number one player.

As a result, Ramsdale, a top England player, has been linked with a move away in January, with Chelsea mentioned as a likely destination.

Ramsdale and Raya have spoken positively about their relationship in recent months and Ramsdale remained positive, teasing the speculation as they trained at the London club’s Colney training base on Monday.

When Raya arrived at practice on Monday, Ramsdale quickly caught up with him and joked.

“Okay everyone.

I’m here.

We are together.\”

Raya was criticized for his role in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea last weekend, when he put Chelsea 2-0 up through Michailo Mudric’s goal.

.

Gary Neville criticized Raya’s performance during Sky Sports’ coverage of the match. He said: “David Raya has had a good start to his Arsenal career.

But he performed poorly in the Champions League game [against Lens] and in the first half against Manchester City.

“Now it’s a game.

It will be interesting for him.

He has a “help” look on his face.

This is the most difficult position to play and gets the most attention, especially when you play for one of the biggest clubs in the league.

This is especially true if you are a goalkeeper.

“Michel Arteta did it, let’s understand the situation of Ramsdale and Raya.

It’s unusual, but he said it could work.

I never thought it would be possible and I think we have a challenge ahead of us because now the pressure will increase.”

“Aaron Ramsdale didn’t make many mistakes early in the season.

Raya is starting to make mistakes now.”

Arteta condemned Neville’s comments in his pre-match press conference ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Sevilla on Monday night.

When asked if Raya felt the heat, he said, “I haven’t seen anything like that from Raya.

I didn’t see that.” “It’s the pressure you feel when you play for a big club. You have to win, you have to be the best, and you have to have someone by your side to push you every day.

“But if we look at the positions, we’ll say, ‘What’s going to happen to the left-back, what’s going to happen to the holding midfielder?’ Jorginho, have you asked Gabriel Jesus?

There is another controversial question.

“That’s the beauty of the game.

When we know there are other options, we often have those conversations.

Mistakes are part of football, defenders, forwards and goalkeepers can all make mistakes.”
