Erling Haaland’s injury improves Man City ahead of their match against Liverpool.

On Thursday, three Manchester City players who have been recovering from injuries resumed their workouts.

In preparation for Manchester City’s Premier League match against Liverpool this weekend, Erling Haaland was spotted at training on Thursday.

The striker has raised concerns about his health in the lead-up to the match after having to miss Norway’s draw with Scotland due to a recurrence of an ankle injury last week. It seems that manager Stale Solbakken’s assessment last week that the issue was “not a serious injury” was accurate.

Nathan Ake and other first-team players, including Haaland, were shown in the City training gallery on Thursday. Due to injury, the Dutchman was forced to withdraw from the Netherlands team; however, Pep Guardiola will greatly benefit from his participation in training.

Ederson was among the few senior players captured on camera during the session, according to Sky Sports, even though he wasn’t visible in the club’s training gallery. The goalie was also doubtful for this weekend’s matchup against Liverpool after withdrawing early from his Brazil tour two weeks ago.

Although the three returning players give Guardiola more options, the former Barcelona manager still has unresolved injury concerns. Both Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes had to leave the Portugal and Croatia camps early as well, and as of Thursday, neither midfield player had any updates.

John Stones will not play against Liverpool because of a hip injury, and Kevin De Bruyne is still sidelined for the foreseeable future. During Friday’s pre-match press conference, Guardiola will almost definitely be questioned extensively about the health of his team.

Joe Gomez, Ibrahima Konate, Ryan Gravenberch, and Curtis Jones are all questionable for Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp will provide the most recent information on the quartet during the media briefing on Friday.
