Erling Haaland, the striker for Manchester City, has not been seen since the team’s 2-1 victory over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.
Supporters of Manchester City are counting down the days until Erling Haaland returns from injury to help the world champions win back the Premier League.
The Norwegian’s last appearance in a blue shirt came against Aston Villa at the start of the month. Due to injury, Haaland was unable to participate in the victory over Luton Town. Even though he traveled to Saudi Arabia for City’s victory in the Club World Cup, he hasn’t played for his club since.
On Wednesday, Pep Guardiola’s team returns to the Premier League as they visit Goodison Park to play Everton. MEN Sport has examined the most recent information on his injury.
What is the problem?
Pep Guardiola announced prior to the Luton match that Haaland had a “stress injury” to his foot. Although this was mistakenly believed to be a fracture, the City manager clarified things after the game, ruling out any kind of break.
Has Haaland started training again?
Along with his teammates, Haaland traveled to the FIFA Club World Cup, but he was unable to play. The 23-year-old did, however, receive individual training in Saudi Arabia with fellow injury victim Jeremy Doku.
What has been stated by Guardiola?
When questioned most recently about Haaland’s fitness, Guardiola chose to focus on the Club World Cup rather than provide too many details. The Catalan acknowledged prior to the competition that his talisman had a 50/50 chance of appearing in the Middle East, but the competition arrived too soon for him.
Haaland to play against Everton?
Haaland’s trip to Goodison Park is “touch and go.” However, the additional rest during the Club World Cup may put him in a better position to play on Merseyside.
