Liverpool and Real Madrid are on high alert as Mbappé sends a mysterious message.

Kylian Mbappé, the winger for Paris Saint-Germain, spoke to the French media after winning the Trophée des Champions, so naturally, they had to inquire about his future.

Real Madrid is keen to sign the 25-year-old, but it appears they have a deadline for their offer and are not willing to wait indefinitely. Thus, this might be the Frenchman’s last opportunity to play for the Spanish powerhouses.

Liverpool is also actively trying to sign the FIFA World Cup runner-up from 2022. In addition, should the transfer happen, he would take over as Mohamed Salah’s long-term replacement.

However, as the entire football world watches to see where the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will decide, Mbappé gave an update on the situation to carry on with his profession.

According to Mbappé, “we have an agreement with President Al Khelaifi, so it means that all parties are protected,” even though he didn’t make the decision (h/t Fabrizio Romano). The team is the priority, not me or my circumstances. I didn’t know my choice in 2022 until May. I shouldn’t wait to make a decision if I know what I want to do. It would not be logical.

Although PSG hasn’t said anything, it seems like they’ll try their hardest to hang onto the superstar and not lose him this season.
