Chelsea’s position is made clear as Pochettino comes under increasing pressure following Middlesbrough’s turnaround.

Mauricio Pochettino’s vision is supported by Chelsea even though they lost to Middlesbrough.

Mauricio Pochettino is allegedly going to be fired every time Chelsea loses a game, but the Blues board is sticking with the manager in spite of the difficult start to the new season.

Despite suffering a 1-0 loss to Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup first leg, Chelsea is sticking by their message and will stick with the Argentine manager, according to The Telegraph (h/t Express).

People must realize that this is his first season and that his young team will need some campaigning to develop into a competitive team. The board, not the manager, is always at fault.

We have not planned our recruitment well because, if we are only going to sign young players, we ought to have the patience to give them a few years to develop into a top team.

But because they want to see results right away, our fans aren’t willing to wait years for this team to rise to the top. Although there have been improvements, since we are still in the redevelopment phase, there will be more losses than victories.

Giving up on a manager won’t fix the issue because, at its core, our hiring procedure is the problem. During his press conferences, Pochettino has repeatedly stated that the team is short on experienced players whenever the team loses.

Our recruitment process may have been motivated by the possibility that our new board lacks sufficient football experience. In order to acquire quality players, we will require an experienced sporting director, perhaps along the lines of Ralf Rangnick.

We aren’t consistent enough to win every game, and our attack is clearly lacking in quality. After we lose to a team in the middle of the table, the manager is called to be fired. In addition, Pochettino has been forced to use players in unusual positions and adopt different strategies each time because half of our players are injured.
