Toni Breidinger Takes the Wheel for a Full-Time Truck Series Ride in 2025
Toni Breidinger, a rising star in the racing world, is gearing up to reach new heights in her career. The 25-year-old has officially signed with Tricon Garage to drive the No. 5 Toyota full-time in the 2025 Craftsman Truck Series. This major move marks a significant milestone in her 15-year journey, and Toni isn’t taking the challenge lightly.
In a recent interview with NASCAR SiriusXM Radio, Toni reflected on her part-time Truck Series experience and her game plan to prepare for the intense competition. The aggression and strategic nuances of the series have left a lasting impression on the young driver.
“That Was Intense”: Toni’s Take on the Truck Series Challenge
Toni’s first taste of the Truck Series in 2024 came with a steep learning curve. Known for its high-speed intensity and bumper-to-bumper action, the series pushed her to adapt quickly.
“Trucks are obviously that next step up, so there’s going to be a learning curve,” she explained. “Running Daytona this year and a few starts last year gave me a feel for what to expect next season if I went full-time.”
The aggression of her competitors was eye-opening. “I remember my very first truck race—everyone was just full speed ahead. Already so aggressive,” Toni shared. “It caught me off guard a bit. I dropped back and was like, ‘Wow, that was a very intense restart.’”
Toni also noted the aerodynamic complexity of the series. “The drivers really know how to manipulate air. Learning about dirty air and how it affects your truck—that was a big takeaway for me. It was such an eye-opener.”
With her full-time seat now secured, she’s eager to apply the lessons she’s learned. “Toyota and Tricon have really made me feel confident they can help me bridge the gap this offseason. I’m going to be grinding hard to make sure I’m ready to go as soon as the season starts.”
A Trailblazing Career
Landing a full-time Truck Series seat is the latest achievement in Toni Breidinger’s impressive career. After 65 starts in the ARCA Menards Series, where she earned four top-five finishes and placed fourth in the 2024 standings, she’s ready to tackle NASCAR’s third-highest level.
“It’s been a 15-year process to get here, but I’m so excited for this moment and ready to capitalize on it,” Toni said.
Her journey has been one of breaking barriers. In 2021, she became the first Arab-American woman to compete in a NASCAR-sanctioned event, earning her the Drive for Diversity Developmental Series Driver Award. Toni’s inspiring story has gained national attention, with features on shows like TODAY, Good Morning America, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Off the track, Toni has built a strong brand presence, modeling for companies like Gap, Victoria’s Secret, and Free People. She even made history as the first NASCAR driver featured in Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue.
What’s Next for Toni
With top-tier sponsors like Raising Cane’s, Celsius, and Sunoco, Toni is poised for an exciting 2025 season. The first race on her full-time schedule? The iconic Daytona International Speedway on February 14.
“Racing full-time with Tricon is a dream for me,” she said. “This is just the beginning, and I’m ready to go all in.”
As she prepares for her next chapter, Toni Breidinger aims to prove she’s more than capable of thriving in the Truck Series. Whether she’s making history on the track or turning heads off it, the racing world will be watching closely as her story continues to unfold.
