Breaking: Front Row Motorsports Expands NASCAR Truck Series Program with Chandler Smith
Front Row Motorsports (FRM) is making significant moves in the NASCAR Truck Series for 2025 by adding a full-time entry piloted by none other than Chandler Smith. This marks a notable expansion for the team as they continue to grow their presence across multiple racing platforms.
Chandler Smith Joins FRM
The 22-year-old Chandler Smith is no stranger to success. Last season, he raced full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Joe Gibbs Racing, where he racked up two wins and 17 top-5 finishes. Smith’s last full-time Truck Series campaign was back in 2022 with Kyle Busch Motorsports.
Smith also boasts an impressive résumé in the Truck Series, including five career wins and the 2021 NASCAR Truck Series Rookie of the Year title. That same year, he captured victory in the prestigious Snowball Derby, solidifying his reputation as one of NASCAR’s rising stars.
While FRM has yet to announce sponsorship, crew, or car number details, Smith expressed his enthusiasm for the new venture:
“I’m excited to join Front Row Motorsports truck program,” Smith stated in a team release. “They are a top contender in the Truck Series and have proven so with championships and wins. I like what they are building here and am honored to have the opportunity to add to it.”
Acknowledging the timing of the announcement, Smith added:
“We are getting a bit of a late start, but I am excited about the caliber of talent we are talking to in being a part of this program for 2025.”
FRM’s Ambitious Growth
The Truck Series isn’t the only area where FRM is looking to expand. The team has been actively working to strengthen its position in the NASCAR Cup Series as well.
Earlier this week, a judge ruled in favor of Front Row Motorsports in their legal battle with NASCAR over antitrust claims, allowing the team to finalize the purchase of a third Cup Series charter from Stewart-Haas Racing. However, NASCAR has since appealed the decision, with a hearing set for early January.
This expansion effort comes as part of FRM’s ongoing push for more favorable charter terms and greater competition within the sport. The team is fighting to secure a stronger foothold both on and off the track.
Looking Ahead
With Chandler Smith on board and legal victories aiding their expansion, Front Row Motorsports is poised for a transformative 2025 season. As details about the Truck Series program continue to emerge, all eyes will be on how this ambitious team delivers in the year ahead.
